I bought this travel pillow a few days before my flight. I was very happy with how compact the pillow was when I rolled up it. The memory foam was really comfortable when I was using it on the flight. I think it really helps that the pillow is asymmetrical to get the perfect spot. The most important feature that I was looking for in a travel pillow was having a washable case and this pillow has it. Now I can finally get rid of my uncomfortable travel pillow with the tiny white beads inside.
Just went on a trip to Reno and left my new pillow at home because I didn't expect to nap on the plane... except we were delayed. I seriously wish I had it instead of nodding and waking myself up. I'm writing this on the couch at night and starting to nod a bit with the pillow on me. So easy to slowly close your eyes. The first thing I noticed about the pillow was how it's stored. Right out of the pouch it has it's own little elastic strap to neatly wrap itself up. My previous pillow relied on me squeezing into a little roll and then velcro'ing the pouch to keep its shape. After a couple of uses it started to tear, and now I dare not use it for fear of a total dismemberment. This design is clever and removes that stress of bunching into a ball, and doing it over and over again. The overall feel is what you would expect of a proper neck pillow. It uses a supportive viscoelastic (memory foam) for support. It also has a little adjustable buckle in the front to keep it around your neck. Adjustability is key: big necks and little necks would benefit. I think my neck is a little long for the design, but I have yet to find a "tall" pillow. So far so good as I could take a nap right now in it. I just noticed after taking it off that it's asymmetrical -- if you position the strap under your chin, one side is taller than the other. Maybe some folks like to rest their head at more of an angle than straight up? My preference is just a bit cocked. I can also see if you wanted to put the tall part under your chin so that you sleep with your head more forward. I like the options and adjustability, almost as if you used your bed pillow differently given your different position. There is also a secret zipper that blends in with the fabric. Yes, one day I do plan to wash it. Good idea. I'd recommend this to anyone and could easily see this as an impulse buy at the airport, except I'm glad I picked it up online. We have a long road trip coming up and I'm going to put this to good use while my wife drives.
I literally went through 8 of the best travel pillow on the list and chanced upon the Cushion Lab. That was a great decision. It is portable, light, and supportive. It keeps my head upright and can be packed away in its storage bad when not in use. it is everything a travel pillow should be and nothing more!
